Espresso Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2.25 tsp instant yeast
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup milk warm
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 egg

Filling

  • 0.33 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp instant espresso powder
  • 3 tbsp butter softened

Icing

  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp brewed espresso
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Knead until soft and smooth dough forms.
  • Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled.
  • Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread with softened butter and sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and espresso powder.
  • Roll up tightly and cut into 8–10 rolls. Place in a greased pan and let rise 30 minutes.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes. Drizzle with espresso icing while warm.
