Ingredients
  

Smoothie Base

  • 1 small raw beet peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium carrot peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup fresh spinach loosely packed
  • 1 banana preferably frozen
  • 1 cup orange juice or water for a lighter version
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated (optional)
  • ice cubes as needed

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender in the order listed.
  • Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Add more juice or water to adjust consistency if needed.
  • Pour into two glasses and serve immediately. Enjoy chilled!

Notes

For extra protein, add a scoop of vanilla protein powder or Greek yogurt. You can also prep ahead by freezing chopped beet, carrot, and banana in a zip bag.
